Schedule Information
Baseball and softball in Vermont remains, as always, at the whim of the weather gods. We’ve found creative ways and will continue to find creative ways to play outside in all sorts of weather but the KEY is being flexible and communicating.
Please make sure you are familiar with TeamSnap and ideally download the app. We use TeamSnap for all our game day and team related communications. Your coaches will use it to notify you of any changes, updates or needs. You will use it to confirm your players attendance at games and practices and to confirm health status.
The following are the GENERIC DAYS/DATES for GAMES here in Stowe. Practices will generally be scheduled once registration is closed and teams have been finalized and coaches assigned, probably first week in April.
However you can rely on the structure below as a general guide. Majors and Minors are our more competitive levels and both will be playing out of County games. We play out of County games to increase our exposure to better competition and to make sure we get in enough games for All-Star eligibility.
In general games during the week start at 6pm, although this can sometimes change due to weather, travel or other reasons. On the weekends games are generally scheduled earlier. All teams will have games/practices scheduled at least one weekend day.
Majors and Minors practices are usually at least 90 minutes and sometimes 2 hours. Games are generally 2 hours and 6 innings, although sometimes can end earlier.
Rookie and TeeBall practices and games are usually 60 minutes. Sometimes Rookie ball may go a little longer for games. We also limit player numbers on Tee-Ball to between 6-8 kids to enhance their experience and keep coaches sane and kids happy!

Games will be played primarily on Saturdays and there will be at least one more practice day during the week. The schedule for this level is generally done first week in April. The midweek practice is usually after 5:30pm. We do not emphasize games at this level. It’s more important to ensure kids are having fun and learning the fundamentals of the game and teamwork.
